Tell us a little about yourself?
I am married with two amazing children and have lived in South Jersey for my entire life. I live and work in Voorhees and have a rewarding job with the Voorhees Police Department right next door to the gym. My values and morals are what brought me to Echelon. I love a strong sense of community and I treat others the way that I would like to be treated. I love to see people shine and succeed and truly believe that we grow and learn through the toughest times of our lives. Spin is my passion because it helps heal me and keep me grounded. I love sharing my love of barre and spin with others.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I love being surrounded by people who are creating good energy and love being part of a team. It’s rewarding to me when I know I helped to make someone’s day better. I gain so much joy from our members and they are one of the best parts of my life. They all have added so much color and joy to my world.
Three words to describe EHF?
Team, Encouragement, Family
Why do you think group fitness classes are such a popular way to stay active?
I think it makes you accountable. Many times when people get involved with a group, they are supporting a friend and they are working out together. It gives them that extra push to show up when they have committed to a group, instructor or friend. People become excited and gather amazing energy when they are part of a team and group fitness is such a positive way to work out! Our team at EHF, which includes our members and awesome instructors keep everyone focused!
What would you say to someone who may feel intimidated to come to class?
Everyone has had first day and our team is judgement free! Support from other people make it such a positive experience. I let them know that our classes are built for growth and for all skill levels and I tell them to try everything at least once and to not get discouraged, ever! It takes 21 days to form a habit, and everyone owes it to themselves to take that time. If our own personal cup is not full we cannot give and care for others. Taking care of our bodies and our minds isn’t selfish, it is necessary. We are given ONE body and this one space to live in. I always listen to their concerns and goals and suggest classes that they may be best suited for them based on their wants, goals and needs. I also let them know that we all are on a journey here, and it’s a beautiful thing to share that journey with others. I have even attended classes with members to help them feel more comfortable.
What do you like to do on your days off?
Spend time with my husband and children. I love going to the beach and just simply catching up with family and friends!
How do you define success?
Success to me is truly being happy. It’s discovering our purpose and sharing that with others, no matter what that is. It’s showing up, being completely present and helping to make a difference in the lives we touch. We are successful when we take pride in our health, our family, spouses, children and friends. It’s when we have a zest for life and a peaceful heart and mind.

I am grateful for the opportunities that I have been given at EHF. I have been so incredibly blessed with my supportive and loving husband Michael, my amazing parents Bill and Eileen, my beautiful children Samantha and David, and my family and friends. I found some of my very best friends at EHF and I don’t know what I would do without them! I would not be who and I am without all of their love and support. I am so lucky to be a beautiful combination of all of them!
